Terms of Use
Last updated: 10 September 2026
The short version: read what you like, contact us in good faith, do not copy our work or abuse our forms, and remember that the Site is general information rather than advice. Work we do for you is governed by a separate agreement.
1.About These Terms
These terms govern your use of the website at https://www.whiterabbitfoundry.com (the “Site”). The Site is operated by White Rabbit Foundry Limited (“WRF”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15222598, with its registered office at 86-90 Paul Street, London EC2A 4NE, United Kingdom.
By using the Site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site. Our products are provided under their own terms: Emily and Clean Rabbit. Consulting and development work is carried out under a separate written agreement, which takes precedence over these terms for that work.
2.Using the Site
You may browse the Site, read its content and use the contact and subscription forms for their intended purpose. You must not:
- use the forms to send unsolicited marketing, abusive or unlawful material;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Site, the systems behind it, or other users’ data;
- use automated tools to submit forms, scrape content at scale, or place unreasonable load on the Site;
- misrepresent who you are or who you work for when contacting us.
We may suspend or block access to the Site for anyone who breaches these terms.
3.Our Content
The text, design, code, logos and other material on the Site belong to us or our licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view, download and print pages for your own reference, and quote short extracts with attribution and a link. Anything more, including reproducing our content commercially or presenting it as your own, needs our written permission.
“White Rabbit Foundry”, the rabbit-ears mark, “Emily” and “Clean Rabbit” are our trade names and marks. Please do not use them in a way that suggests we endorse you or your products.
4.Information on the Site
We work hard to keep the Site accurate and current, but it is provided for general information only. Nothing on it is professional advice for your specific situation, and nothing on it forms an offer or a contract. Descriptions of services are indicative; what we will actually do for you is set out in a written proposal and agreement.
Testimonials reflect the experience of the people who gave them and are not a promise of the same outcome for anyone else.
5.The Newsletter
When you subscribe on the Site we will send you a welcome email and, from time to time, new writing and news about what we are building. Our essays are published on Substack, and subscribing on the Site also subscribes you to our Substack publication. You can unsubscribe from either at any time using the link in every email. How we handle your address is described in the privacy policy.
6.The Crossword
The crossword at /crossword is a free game we provide for enjoyment. The puzzles are generated with the help of an AI model and laid out automatically; we check that every grid is solvable, but a clue may occasionally be odd, unfair or simply wrong, and we make no promise that any puzzle is error free. If a clue is beating you unfairly, the hint and reveal controls are there, and we would like to hear about it.
Your progress is kept against an anonymous identifier stored in a cookie, and, if you choose to give us your email address, against that address as well, so you can continue on another device. The link we email you for that purpose is private to you: anyone who has it can open your grid, so do not forward it. We may reset or remove puzzles, progress or the game itself at any time, and we do not guarantee that progress will be preserved.
Please do not use automated tools to play, fetch or scrape the puzzles, and do not republish them. Sharing a puzzle link with a friend is welcome.
7.Links to Other Sites
The Site links to other websites, including Substack, LinkedIn, WhatsApp and our product sites. Those sites have their own terms and privacy practices, which we do not control and are not responsible for. A link is not an endorsement.
8.Availability
We aim to keep the Site available at all times but do not guarantee it. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the Site without notice, including for maintenance. We are not liable if the Site is unavailable for any period.
9.Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
Subject to that, the Site is provided “as is”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude all implied conditions, warranties and representations, and we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or anything on it, including any loss of profit, business, data or goodwill, whether direct or indirect, and whether or not foreseeable.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10.Privacy and Cookies
How we handle personal data is set out in the privacy policy, and how we use cookies in the cookie policy. Both form part of these terms.
11.Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continued use of the Site after a change means you accept the new terms.
12.Governing Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute relating to them or the Site. If you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.
13.Contact
